Don't Start Anything On Friday, You Can't Finish!

My grandfather-in-law was a very superstitious man. He wouldn't walk under a ladder. If a black cat crossed in front of him, he would turn and go back. He threw salt over his left shoulder before he ate. And one big thing was to never start a job on Friday that you couldn't finish, because on Monday you'd go do something different.

Ok, so I don't know if going to Abilities Unlimited to look for silk ties means I began a project on Friday or not. I know for a fact, I won't get to do anything with them until next week, but when I get a bee in my bonnet, I'm not happy til I've at least taken the first steps toward the project goal.

For those of you who know me, you know I live alone, so you are probably wondering why I need silk ties, especially ones that came from a thrift shop. I saw this website about making silk dyed Easter eggs. You can see how to do it here. I decided I have to make some so I bought four. They had a lot more, but I didn't want to go overboard. I intend to blow the eggs out of their shell, and then dye them. You can leave the eggs in, but then you have to break them to get to the egg. If I go to this much trouble, I don't want them broken.

I'm keeping grandchidren this weekend, so no craftiness in my plans. Just got to keep the little ones safe and full. But I'll have to get the eggs done the first of next week, since Good Friday is one week from today.

I hope you are having a great day. Pray for grandparents everywhere. Love one another.

I've heard that old saying too-never start anything on Friday you can't finish. The tie eggs sound neat.
