Neglected Blog!!!!

My poor little blog has been neglected. I have totally ignored it as though it were a chore I didn't want to do. I've had plenty going on to tell it about, but I've put it over in the corner and pretended it didn't exist. I'm sorry little blog. I must treat you better.

I doubt anyone even checks in any more to see if I'm still around. I'm sure everyone thinks I've totally deserted you, and it has seemed that way. So, I'm going to do better. I promise.

Since I last wrote, I got my vacation pictures back as you can see. These are the six gals that made the trip along with me of course.

This is my grandson who now resides in Orlando. He came up and went to lunch with us. I'm not sure he has recovered. Getting to see him was worth the whole trip.

This is a view of the beach looking north from our condo.

Here we all are having dinner near a lighthouse. I can't remember the name of it. The food was good and the friendship even better.

I took a few pictures of my hydrangea which is blooming like crazy,

and a couple of pictures of the garden my brother has in my yard. I have open space, he has shade.

Superhero and Princess #2 have graduated from Kindergarten. They are ready for first grade next year.

We will have our All School Catfish Reunion this Saturday. I think everyone is excited about it. We have 325 students, teachers, alumni, spouces, etc coming for the evening meal. I hope to have pictures next week of that event.

In the meantime have a great day. Pray the devastation in the Gulf will be minimal. Love one another.

Gone For Awhile!

I left for a vacation to Daytona Beach on April 20th. We returned on the 25th, and I was rested, but at the same time totally exhausted. I went back to work on the 26th, and haven't seemed to have a minute's rest since.

While on vacation, we shopped, we spent 6 hours one day on the beach, we shopped, we ate, we shopped. Have I said that already? Our favorite place to eat was Crabby Joes, which we renamed Crabby Patty's(in honor of SpongeBob Squarepants, in case you don't have small children or grandchildren). It was a restaurant out on a pier, and when the screens were open, the birds could fly right through. Fortunately, the screens were closed when we were there. The nice thing about it was that before the sun went down, the water was beautiful, then after dark you could look back toward the beach and the lights were gorgeous.

We shopped at IKEA, something we don't have in our neck of the woods, We went to Daytona's flea market(it's the 3rd largest in the country)and the fresh produce was absolutely out of this world. We hit Marshals, Chico's, and a shoe store that sells Reiker shoes.

We laughed, ate, people watched, laughed some more, ate some more and had a wonderful few days of being away from family, ringing phones, and all the other daily grind stuff. Then it as back to reality. Getting away for a few days if very good for the soul, but it also makes you appreciate what you have when you get home. We had a hostess with the mostest. She opened her home to us and entertained us like royalty. Thank you so much Jacque.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's day. I certainly did. My children are very good to me and I love them all dearly.
