I'm On A Fruit Kick!

I have gone through two large bags of oranges in the last couple of weeks. This is something I never do. I like oranges, but the way I've been eating them, you'd think I loved them. I've eaten several bananas too, but not as many as oranges.

I kow you are saying,'This is good. This is healthy. Good for you.' But what you don't understand unless you know me very well, is that generally I'm not a fruit person. NOTE:Before the daughters make a comment here, I will admit I am a bit fruity, just not a fruit eating person. Can usually go without fruit. Not particularly in love with juice. It just isn't me. I'm more of a meat(preferrably pork) and potatoes/pasta person. But today when I realized I had only one banana left and no oranges, I was not a happy camper.

Then yesterday I saw a post about the proper way to cut up fresh pineapple, and now I want that too. So, when I get off work, I'm heading to Sam's and hopefully get another bag of oranges, a pineapple or two, and maybe even a box of strawberries. They are in season in South Texas, so we should have some here.

Like so many other things in my life, this may be just a phase, but, I'm hoping it isn't.

Have you gone through any phases lately?

I hope you had a great day today. Happy birthdy to my BFF Carolyn. Pray for her, she's in LasVegas spending her husband's money. Love one another.

I just went through a carton of strawberries like they were going out of style. I'm sure glad they were on sale. It must be us wishing it were summer.

South Texas, you say? Once you cut the top off that pineapple, stick it in the ground in your yard. Somewhere partially shady. Water it occasionally. Shallow bury. It'll take two or three years, but you'll have a nice spiky bush and real pineapples.

Sam's Club has the best oranges, don't they? And strawberries too. And their blueberries. Oh, and the pineapple. I love fruit, but hubby can take it or leave it, so unless I eat it all up, it can go bad.

Blessings,
Marge

My latest addiction is MANGO!
I can't get enough of the frozen bags of Mango from the Grocery Store. Dole Brand???

I'm a huge fruit fan, but my attraction to Mango is just puzzling?? LOL

Enjoy your oranges and pineapple. Maybe your body is craving something from them???

Don't think I've had any particular cravings lately. But I bought a bag of those Sam's oranges the other dayland my husband has already eaten half of them. Maybe he's having a craving. LOL

I wish I could enjoy oranges. Besides the lovely 'lie bumps' I get from acidic fruits, I can't stand the fruit part of oranges! LOL I stick pieces in my mouth and suck all the juice out, then spit out the pulp. I don't know why, it makes me shudder to think of chewing it up at all. Go figure.
Now berries of any kind I can handle! :) Enjoy this healthy addiction while it lasts!
