Where's My Stimulus Check?

The parties are over and it's time for the new president to hit the ground running. So the burning question in my mind is 'where's my stimulus check?'

They've given the banks and automakers tons of money, so I'm ready for mine. I'm not expecting a ton, but a few hundred would sure be nice. I'll be checking my mailbox every day.

On a different note, I'd like to thank those of you who sent me your meatloaf recipes. I will try them and my oldest daughter has agreed to sample each and every one. Like I'm going to share. Who does she think she is anyway?

Not much going on around here today. It's a typical hump day, because I'm already looking forward to the weekend.

Hope you are having a nice Wednesday. Pray for our country. Love one another.

i had to make my meatloaf last night... when I was mixing up everything I asked Mike to get the big freezer bags out ... then he wanted to know why I made so much (i actually made alot more than normal) I told him to freeze so all I have to do is take it out and cook it later. (I usually have one small bag left over this time I have two BIG loaves left) It was super delish the only thing I wish I had was sweet vidilia onions the onions this time of year are so strong and bitter to me. it was wonderful mike and I ate over half a loaf have mercy... we deserved belly aches for being pigs! I can't wait to hear how all the different ones come out and get your opinion on them (your daughters too) might need to adjust mine :)

Well let me know which meatloaf hits the spot with you. And when your check arrives in the mail, call me so I can run out and find mine. After this trip to Florida, I need all the help I can get!

yummy meatloaf... that just might be on the menu for tomorrow night!

I'll take a stimulus check too, especially since hubby is currently laid off!

I have about eight or ten issues of Australian Smocking and wish I had more. On my wish list is a subscription. I do remember you telling me about your work being in the latest edition, but I haven't purchased a copy in forever. There was a great specialty sewing shop not far from my house in Florida where I'd get my magazines and supplies. Nothing like that here in Tulsa. In fact, I'm having trouble find thing fabric quality I want at the prices I want. Stink. Any suggestions would be appreciated. :)

Hi Memaw, so glad you stopped in at my blog. To answer your question - I write as Lena and call my hubby Ole because of all the Ole and Lena jokes that are common in the states of Minnesota, North Dakota and Wisconsin. So since we're from Minnesota and both of Scandinavian heritage I thought it appropriate. Being from the south, you may not know about Ole and Lena. Look them up on the internet and you'll get a better idea of self-deprecating Scandinavian humor. We're always able to laugh at ourselves. I'm familiar with Ole and Lena Nordstrom and am also a John Wayne fan. I think Ole and I have collected the majority of old John Wayne movies and still totally enjoy watching them. Stop over again, and I'll be putting you on my reading list.

Love Lena
